- That puts it 22 of 24 centres in London (London average 49.1%), one of the lower pass rates in the region, 7.7 points below it.
- Since 2021/22 the pass rate has risen by 2.7 points, from 38.7% to 41.4%.

- A year earlier (August 2025) the median wait was 3.1 weeks, so waits have grown by about 7.6 weeks.
Greenford is a 20 mph test with a great many children in it. Seventy-one per cent of the roads mapped within 2.5 km of the centre carry a 20 limit, and sixty-seven schools sit inside the same radius. Thirty-one mini-roundabouts are mapped there too. What that adds up to is a test made of small, frequent decisions rather than long stretches of anything, and the pass rate reflects how hard that is to sustain for forty minutes. Greenford sits 22nd of the 24 London centres, though the rate has climbed since 2021. The centre is on Horsenden Lane North, and the loops reach out to Harrow Road, Greenford Road and Sudbury Hill.

The same access also opens the four test manoeuvres and eight roundabout scenarios: the two things a route drive cannot teach you.
There is very little continuous driving here. The routes are made of turns, mini-roundabouts and crossings. Thirty-one mini-roundabouts and seventy-seven signalled junctions are mapped within 2.5 km, and the busiest of the practice loops on this page asks for fifteen right turns in 11.6 kilometres.
Mini-roundabouts are the local speciality and the local trap. They arrive in quick succession on the residential roads, they are often marked by nothing except paint, and the two habits examiners see most are driving over the circle and forgetting the exit signal. The named conventional roundabouts include Oldfields Circus, Shaftesbury Circle, Green Park Way and The Fairway.
Speeds change constantly. Seventy-one per cent of the roads mapped nearby are 20 and most of the rest are 30, and the A-road network cuts across all of it, including the A312, A404, A4127 and A4005, with dual carriageway on part of it. Dropping cleanly from a 40 to a 20 and back, at the sign rather than after it, is what this centre tests hardest.
Sixty-seven schools are mapped in the area, which is a lot even for outer London, and it means the hour of your test changes the traffic on the same street. Harrow Road, Greenford Road and Bridgewater Road carry the busier flows. Melville Avenue, Chestnut Avenue and Allendale Road are the kind of quieter residential street where a bay park or a pull-up on the right is usually asked for, and Sudbury Hill takes the longer loops north.

Test day at Greenford
The centre is at 96 Horsenden Lane North in Greenford. Sudbury Hill station is about eight hundred metres away, so arriving by Underground is realistic, though most candidates still come by car with an instructor.
GOV.UK lists car tests and ADI part 3 here and nothing else: no motorcycle, lorry or bus tests. It publishes no accessibility line for the centre, so if you use a wheelchair or need step-free access into the building, ring DVSA and ask rather than assuming. Parking and the waiting room are not published either. At a centre on a residential road the usual arrangement is a drop at the door and a space found nearby, so allow a few minutes for it.
Booking, moving and cancelling all go through GOV.UK. Ten minutes early is enough. The examiner checks your licence, takes the signed declaration that the car is insured for the test, and does the eyesight check on the street outside. The first minute of the drive is a move-off into a 20 zone with cars parked on both sides, which is worth rehearsing in its own right: the mirror work and the shoulder check there are watched as closely as anything later on.
