Help and support
Write to [email protected] and we will answer. If it is about your account, send it from the address you signed up with. That saves a round of questions.
How do I sign in?
There is no password. Put your email address into the sign-in page and we send you a link; it works once and lasts 15 minutes. If it has not arrived after a couple of minutes it is almost always in the spam folder. Ask for a new one if the old one has expired. There is no limit.
Pass rates, waiting times, centre notes and the forum need no account at all. An account is only for saving centres, wait alerts and the practice features.
What does access cost, and how do I cancel?
Practice drives, the Street View route tours and turn-by-turn route steps come with access to your account. There are two ways to buy it: a single payment of £14.99 for 90 days, which does not renew, or £9.99 a month after a 3-day free trial.
Cancel a monthly subscription from your account. The “Manage billing” button opens Stripe, where you can also change your card and download receipts. Access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. The 90-day pass has nothing to cancel: it ends on its own.
Refunds are covered in the terms. If the site was down for a real part of what you paid for, write to us.
Does the iPhone app work without a signal?
The app shows the same site, so anything you have already opened stays readable with no signal. The centre page you looked up at home is still there in the test centre car park. Pages you have never opened need a connection.
It updates itself. There is no version to install: when the site changes, the app has the change the next time you open it.
Access is bought and managed on the website, not in the app, which is why the app never shows a price. Sign in with the same email and everything you have paid for is already there.
A pass rate or waiting time looks wrong. What now?
Pass rates and waiting times come from DVSA and are reproduced as published; the roads and junctions come from OpenStreetMap. Neither is edited by hand here. If a number looks wrong, tell us which centre and which figure and we will check it against the source, and if OpenStreetMap has a road wrong, that is worth fixing at the source, because it fixes it for everyone.
About the data explains where each figure comes from and when it was last refreshed.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can delete your account yourself, at the bottom of your account page. That removes your email address, saved centres, wait alerts, practice drive results and billing record, and cancels any subscription with us. Forum posts stay so that the answers under them still make sense, but they stop being connected to you; ask us if you need one taken down as well.
In the PassRank app the same button is under Account. A subscription bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play is billed by Apple or Google, so cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions as well, because deleting the account cannot stop their billing. If you can’t sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will delete it for you within 30 days.
What we hold and why is set out in the privacy notice. For a copy of your data, or anything else, write to [email protected].
Can you book, move or cancel my driving test?
PassRank is independent and is not the DVSA. We cannot book, move or cancel a driving test, see your booking, or tell you when a slot will appear. That is all at gov.uk/book-driving-test. We also cannot tell you whether you will pass, only what the roads and the numbers around your centre look like.
